Costs and guidelines

The minimum fee is $72 per collection for up to 6 cubic yards of debris (approximately two pickup truck beds). Charges are applied to your next utility bill.

Most loads incur the minimum fee of $72. For larger loads, email environmentalservices@ThorntonCO.gov or call 720-977-6200.

Note: A $30 fee per mattress may apply depending on load size.

Cancellation policy: A $10 fee will be charged if the appointment is not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.

Eligible items

Furniture, appliances, mattresses, hot water heaters, fence panels, branches, remodeling debris, and yard waste.

Items not accepted

Electronics (TVs, monitors, printers), hazardous materials, liquids, tires, concrete, masonry, dirt, or sod.

Non-customer guidelines

• A supervisor may need to evaluate your address for safe pickup.
• Private street residents may need to sign a waiver.
• Credit card payments incur a $5 processing fee.

Thornton's Solid Waste Collection Program costs $19.25 per month and includes weekly trash and bi-weekly recycling pickup.
